Audio Transcriptions

 *Speak clearly and at an audible level

* Start recording before you speak to avoid cut-offs

* Spell out any technical words

* If more than one person speaking - speak one at a time

*Do not dictate too close or too far from the microphone

There are several factors which can affect the time taken to transcribe a tape:-

* Quality of the tape(s)

* The speed of the Dictator

* Audibility and accents

* Background noise
